Welcome to the Home of the 3D Professor

Welcome to the new clean and fresh look of the 3D Professor.   It now goes without saying that internet has become swamped with many websites dedicated to covering a particular facets of computer hardware, few manage to offer the reader a full look of the high-end peripherals hardware. Here, at 3D Professor we have always specialised in bringing to you our unbiased opinions of what these products can actually produce for the professional and the technical competent reader. We have not delved too deeply into the intricacies of the product for all of the readers as at this point of publishing, the specialist hardware companies have released their own press releases and you the reader have a substantial knowledge of just what you can expect.

Our goal in the creation of 3D Professor is to become the "One Stop Choice" for all readers regarding the High-End PC industry by offering the most unbiased opinions throughout 3D Professor. Marking of the products which come for review are extremely strict as we have had and have extensive experience in this arena catering to the High-End community. The coverage we have provided in the past has proven to be successful in not intimidating even to the first time buyer clear and precise opinions and results.

Consumers and readers alike have the opportunity to achieve the same "one-stop" experience in a cleanly organised website lacking in adverts and "pop ups" which is updated whenever possible to ensure the validity and timeliness of the information being presented.

With today’s Dual Processor and Single Processor Workstations they can cost significant amounts of monies.  Realistic costing’s of either processor systems can be quite significant dependant on the system build and a progressive look to the future.   With our awards that we present companies who present systems for review they must fall into the strict costing categories below.   Therefore in order to be fair and taking into account today’s market pricing structure we see the following tables below outlining were a system whether Dual or Single Processor falls.   Each system is gauged upon its current build, its forethought for future usage and finally price.

Awards presented are Editors Choice, Editors Recommendation, Highly Commended.

These awards are also applicable to the Professional Graphic Cards we test individually in house on our own test systems and any other hardware presented for test.   Testing is very strict indeed and all Workstations and Professional Graphic cards are subjective to a range of tests from SPEC namely SPECapc and SPECgpc tests which are the industry standards we work within.  As a point of interest to readers that do not know the SPEC/GWPG Organization more details of which full companies make up the individual GPC and APC committees can be found on this hyperlink

To complete all of the tests on the system(s) shown have taken some considerable time to complete. Utilising at all times were possible the latest SPEC® benchmarks; we maintain the fair play rules for each SPEC® benchmark result and to reiterate the results shown in the review have been run in accordance with the fair play rules and regulations.
