Corsair Survivor GT USB Flash Memory Drive Review

Testing USB flash drives is not the normal function for a site that specialises in high-end peripherals; some may argue differently that this is a high-end peripheral as its capacity is rather large for a day to day usage of a USB Flash Memory Drive.  This brings us to the reason of why we undertook this unique look at Corsairs Survivor GT.

A few weeks back we witnessed the misfortune of a Project Manager from a very famous Architects firm drop his flash disc into a heap of Horse Poo.  Before we knew it – or could rescue it; the whole thing was destroyed by a 16.2Hand Horse weighing in at just less than 750KG.  Months of hard data had been lost as this person held data for each of his clients on this type of storage.    This brought us today for a unique look at why in our opinion items of this nature containing such sensitive information should be carefully transported in a solid practical unit!    Can this be the answer so many of you have been looking for?

With this in mind what does the Corsair Survivor actually look like and what is the supporting evidence that would make you the reader want to go out and purchase this expensive piece of equipment?

The Survivor GT comes well packaged as seen below and has a few nifty accoutrements to accompany it.

Opened up with the security chain attached it looks a little like this

Taking into consideration or opening statements I took the Corsair Survivor GT back up to our Stables Yard and gave it a resounding battering of tests and then brought it back to see if it lived up to the claims presented.    Before we precede any further some readers may find the pictures used a tad unpleasant but these pictures shown are critical to everyday occurrences that could and would be found in this environment.
