Intel Test System; the average wattage consumption to be found whilst at idle was noted at 97 Watts.  With the installation of Diskeeper® 2008 Pro Premier Edition with complete functionality enabled within the software; the systems idle speed had been noted to have remained stable at 92 Watts.   Both tests were completed over a 1 hour period to gauge the average system wattage before and after the installation of Diskeeper.

System Volume Back-Up

In maintaining the protocol of keeping it simple, lastly we turn to backing up the complete volume of Drive C.  Therefore we turned to utilise Windows File Back-Up Tool for this task using a Normal Back-Up Protocol.   Each test system had been completely run back to back testing and rechecking the results shown previously without Diskeeper installed and with Diskeeper installed.  This mode would ensure that we achieved maximum Hard Disc system defragmentation on the test systems without Diskeeper installed; and, Diskeeper in its full functionality maintaining the test systems in their complete optimisation.

Drive C (boot Disc) contained a total of 13.7GB of Data and System files.

To further investigate the efficiency of Diskeepers I-FAAST technology, after a period of 12 days we re-ran the Windows System Volume Back-Up to analysis the efficiency of Diskeeper and to see if Diskeeper I-FAAST technology had so engaged.   There is no hard and fast rule when I-FAAST is fully optimised but a system in constant use over 1 week – 10 days should see an improvement within the file system and I-FAAST technology enabled.   Over this additional period of test, the Hard Drive Index file system had grown quite dramatically with all the extreme testing that had been completed.   Many log files had been created as too, png and bmp screen shots generated from the tests and of course the general day to day usage which brings this drive growth seen on the test system.

Therefore we find;
Drive C (boot Disc) now contained a total of 18.7GB of Data and System files.
